Ngan Wanch Aurukunam Aak Puul Nganttam Yumpanan (We are Aurukun women making the stories of our Country) is the first exhibition in a number of years to feature the work of Aurukun women artists from the Wik and Kugu Art Centre. The exhibition showcases the stories of the region as told through senior practitioner Jean Walmbeng and emerging artists Bettina Pootchemunka, Flora Woolla, Georgina Keppel, Francesca Walmbeng and Vera Koometta, associated with the Akay Koo’oila Women’s Arts Centre.
